Sandra Marie Kammerer

Sandra Marie Kammerer of Vassar, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at her home. Sandra was born January 4, 1960, the daughter of the late Leonard and Kay (McGill) LaPratt and graduated from Caro High School in the Class of 1978. She was united in marriage with Dennis Kammerer on June 23, 1978 in Caro, and the couple cherished more than thirty-four years together. Sandy spent her working career serving others as an L.P.N. and caregiver throughout Tuscola County. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Sandy is survived by her son, Dennis, Jr. and his wife, Roxanne; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Jasmine, and Zachary, all of Caro; two brothers, Randy and Bob of Caro; and one sister, Sue LaPratt of Bay City; brother-in-law, Rick Kammerer of Houghton Lake; sister-in-law, Sue Athens of Oklahoma; and special friend, Frank. In addition to her parents and husband, Sandy was preceded in death by one son, Michael; and brother, Rodney LaPratt. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
