Sandra Kay Singer

Sandra Kay Singer of Caro, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw. Sandy was born January 13, 1936 in Fairgrove, the daughter of the late Henry and Elgene (Cramer) Beller and was a 1953 graduate of Fairgrove High School. She was united in marriage with Adam Singer on June 27, 1953 in the first wedding held at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairgrove. Following sixty-three years of marriage, Adam preceded her in death on May 23, 2017. Sandy began her working career in the Treasurer's Office with the County of Tuscola. She was promoted to District Court Clerk, retiring in 1997. Sandy was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro along with its Altar Guild and Quilting Guild. She was an excellent seamstress and cook, enjoyed playing cards and "Words with Friends". In the fall, it was time for canning and Christmas was spent making cookies and candy with her sister, Carol Skidmore. Sandy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be deeply missed by countless family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are three sons and spouses, Kurt Singer & Matt Schnitgen of Chicago, Kris & Michele Singer of Caro, Kent & Connie Singer of Vassar; five grandchildren, Matthew and fianc, Sheridan, Adam, Timothy, Aaron, and Alyssa; siblings, Ann Burkle, Catherine & Gene Mueller, Lee & Laura Beller, Wendy & Dennis LaFond; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Sandy was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Skidmore and husband, Ken; and her in-laws, Glenn Burkle, Geraldine & Lee Truax, and Joanne & Earl Hammond. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro with Rev. Cameron Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove. The family will be present to receive friends at the St. Paul Lutheran Church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
