Sandra Lou Strieter

Sandra Lou Strieter, age 79, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2021 with her family by her side.

Sandy was born in Sebewaing on July 4, 1942 to Errol Herbert and Ira Ruth (Otto) Davis. She graduated from Sebewaing High School and Cosmetology School. She worked with preschoolers and USA Schools as well as cleaning homes.

Sandy married Barry F. Strieter on April 6, 1963. They had 3 boys: Darren, Shawn and Brent. She was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and enjoyed traveling on their boat "The San Bar" and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crafting and was an avid reader.

Sandy is survived by her 3 sons: Darren, Shawn and Brent (Jill); grandchildren: Dustin, Justine, Tyler and Hunter; great grandson, Nicholas; brother-in-law's: Tom (Connie) and Keith (Deb); sister-in-law, Fran Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barry on July 21, 2011; brother, Don Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Shelby (Gene) Hoffmeister; and sister, Valerie Linzner.

Per Sandy's request, cremation has taken place.

A private memorial will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery for the family at a later date.
