Sandy Gonzales

Sandy Gonzales, age 49, passed away peacefully at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 25, 2008. She was born October 30, 1958 in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Antonio & Herminia (Garza) Gonzales, spending most of her life in the Austin area. Sandy enjoyed dancing, fishing and a good cup of coffee. She had been employed at Brookeshires as a baker in Texas for several years before moving to Michigan in July of 2005, to be closer to her family due to her failing health. Sandy is survived by one son, two daughters and their spouses, Miguel Gonzales of Rockdale, Texas, Rosa & Keith Johnson of Lapeer, Diana & Tim Cardonia-Boyd of Davison; one granddaughter and four grandsons; her mother, Herminia Sanchez of Millington; two brothers and five sisters, Crispin, Frank, Rosie, Dorothy, Carmen and Gloria, all of Austin, Texas; one sister and two brothers, Minnie, Manuel and Tony, all living in Michigan; one brother, Ysidro, living in Iowa, and many nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Gonzales; two brothers, Eugene and an infant brother; one sister, Sally Jawor; and one nephew, Anthony Jawor. The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice for the gift of wonderful and loving care given to Sandy.
