Scott Anthony Herzog, age 48, of Pigeon, died at home on Sunday, February 8, 2009 of a heart attack.

Scott was born May 10, 1960 in Pigeon to Patricia (Nixon) and the late Vincent Herzog. He attended Laker Schools graduating in 1978. Scott has worked at Active/Tower Automotive in Elkton as a machinist for thirty years.

“Anything with a motor and a throttle that burns gas and goes fast” describes Scott’s interests, whether it was a car, motorcycle or a snowmobile. He also enjoyed SCUBA diving, in particular off Bimini Island in the Bahamas, and taking care of his home near Mud Creek. But his greatest love was for his family, especially his granddaughter.

He is survived by his son Brandon (Noelle Looney) of Lewiston and daughter Lindsay (David Reibling) of Elkton; granddaughter Klaire Reibling; mother Patricia Herzog of Pigeon; siblings Michele Kenway of Sparta, Alanna (James) Lackie of Pigeon, Robert (Tracy) of Pembroke Pines, Florida, Eric (Deb) of Bay Port, Jacqueline Jett of Canton, and Jonathan (Renee) of Pigeon; and many other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father Vincent Herzog.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 14th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Rev. Karen Bourverette officiating. Burial will be in Grandlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2:00 - 9:00 PM Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the Caseville Community Christmas Fund.
