Sharnae Jenel Berry

Our beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, and sister Sharnae Jenel Berry of Columbiaville, age 35, passed away unexpectedly in Muskegon, Michigan, on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Sharnae was born on May 17, 1991, to Angela (Connolly) Crawford and the late William Wheaton and was a 2009 graduate of Mayville High School. After high school, Sharnae earned an associate’s degree in accounting from Mott Community College. Sharnae was a warm and social person by nature, making friends everywhere she went, especially as a waitress throughout the Flint area. Sharnae treasured time spent with her friends and family and loved being outside and in nature as much as possible, going on jeep and side-by-side rides, as well as fishing, boating, and walking her beloved dog. Most importantly, she was a loving mother to her cherished son Owen who is left to keep her legacy alive.

Sharnae is survived by son, Owen Bryson; mother, Angela Crawford; siblings, Brant Berry, Preston Berry, Tavis (Rachel Maharg) Berry, and Shyann (Jarad) Bowers; grandmother, Bonnie (Jeff) Snyder, and grandfather, Patrick (Kim) McCarren; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members, countless friends, and her beloved dog Cole.

Sharnae was preceded in death by father, William Wheaton; grandmother, Norma Connolly; grandfathers, Melvin Wheaton and Alfred Connolly; sisters, Breanna and Abreanna; nieces Riviera Berry and Amelia Bowers; and nephews Prayton Berry and Zeke Bowers.

In accordance with Sharnae’s wishes, cremation is to take place and a Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 3465 Kirk Road, Vassar, Michigan 48768.  Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family, with checks made to Angela Crawford.
