Sharon Marie Johnson, age 65 years, of Caro, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw. She was born on May 9, 1943 in Caro, to the late William and Lillian (Bland) Montague. She was a lifelong Caro resident and a graduate of Caro High School and Howards Beauty Academy. The former Sharon Montague married Henry O. Johnson on November 19, 1960 in Vassar. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2008. She was a homemaker and a self-employed hairdresser. Sharon, along with her husband, enjoyed working on old cars and attending car and tractor shows. She was very proud of her flower gardens and enjoyed going to the casino as well as playing bingo. Sharon was a member of the Caro Women of the Moose. She is survived by two children, Rhonda (Jack Jr.) Beckrow of Caro and David Johnson of Caro; five grandchildren, Jack III (Noelle) Beckrow of Caro, Michael Beckrow and special friend, Charlie Mae Cole, of Caro, Danielle Johnson and special friend, Kevin Parker, of Saginaw, Kassandra Johnson of Caro and David Johnson II of Caro; her siblings, Ruby (Rudy) Fader of Caro, Richard “Dick” Montague of Skidway Lake and Dan (Sheila) Montague of Vassar; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Johnson in 1974; and a brother, William Montague. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with United Hospice Chaplain Doug Richardson officiating. Cremation will follow with burial in Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Women of the Moose memorial service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of Marlette.
