Sharon Kolacz

Sharon (LeMaigre) Kolacz of Caro, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Caro Community Hospital. Sharon was born October 30, 1948 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Maurice and Bertha (DeBoever) LeMaigre. At the age of nine, Sharon's aunt, uncle and cousin (Clara, Floyd and Lillian LaPratt) would come to Detroit to visit and to take Sharon back to Caro to stay the summer until September 29, 1967. Lil married my buddy, Jerry Guild, that summer and Sharon met her husband to be, Dave Kolacz. She worked at an architectural firm in Detroit until their wedding on July 25, 1969. Sharon and David settled in Caro, and she soon had the misfortune of being afflicted with R.A. that she struggled with for the rest of her life. Sharon had to give up a lot of her dreams, but the love of her husband, children, grandchildren and friends helped her cope with her disabilities. Sharon enjoyed collecting Hallmark Christmas ornaments and Precious Moments figurines. She loved spending time with her husband, Dave, collecting Hot Wheels and going to Hot Wheels conventions, as well as spending time with family. Sharon loved sports, watching her boys and grandchildren play. She loved football, especially MSU, the Chicago Bears, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Detroit Red Wings hockey. She liked to listen to oldies on the radio and was an avid Elvis fan. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of forty-seven years, Dave; two sons and their wives, David and Pamela of Cass City, Daniel and Katie of Davison; six grandchildren, Keagen, Payton, Hailee, Brady, Braxton and Brooklyn; special cousins, Lil and Jerry Guild, Julie Bartay, Lori Mitchell, Marylee Gardner; and special friends, Denise Gusek, Joyce Howell, Effie Randall and Mary Ann Papp. Sharon's parents, grandparents, and brother, Robert, will be welcoming her home. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart site with Rev. John Ladd officiating.
