Sharon Kay Millmine

Sharon Kay Millmine of West Union, South Carolina, formerly of Akron, age 75, passed away on May 28, 2021 in Seneca, South Carolina. Sharon was born April 30, 1946, the daughter of the late William & Athelene (Bailey) Oesterle. She was united in marriage with Bert McQueen 1965, and he preceded her in death in 1984. On November 8, 1986, she married Robert Lee Millmine, who preceded her in death in 2009. Sharon was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church in Seneca and was an avid animal lover. A loving mother and grandmother, Sharon cherished more than anything else time spent with her children and grandchildren. Sharon is survived by her loving daughter, Audra McQueen, and her husband, Juan Vasquez; three step-children; five grandchildren, Kareema, Khadije, Patricia, Juan, and Anabella; several step-grandchildren; and her dog, Chica. In addition to her parents and husbands, Sharon was preceded in death by her son, Bert "Lyle" McQueen; and one brother, Allyn. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Demorest Cemetery in Akron with Rev. Michele Hile officiating.
