Sharon Lee Nehring

Sharon L. Nehring, 80, of Elkton, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Sharon was born October 23, 1942 in Bad Axe to the late Berthold and Elsie (Forster) Posade. She was a member at Trinity Lutheran in Elkton until the church closed and she then transferred to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Berne. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her daughters Lori (Jeff) Rifenbark of Bad Axe and Julie (Mike) Weiderhold of Elkton; grandchildren Alan, Adam, Aaron, Crystal (Ronnie), Faith (Johnny), Julia and Mary; great-grandchildren Kinzee and Harley; sister-in-law Lucille Posade; nieces and nephews Patti (Ron) Damm, Kathy (Randy) Konieczny, Steve (Martha) Walsh, Dave Walsh, Lisa (Kevin) Ziel, Tracey (Mike) Betteridge and Mark (Miles Ramsdill) Posade. She was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Walsh, brother Ralph “Bud” Posade and nephew Tim Walsh.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 15th at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne with Pastor Steve Neuman officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.

The family would like to thank the staff at Huron County Medical Care Facility for their care and compassion during Sharon’s time there.
