Sharon Lee Putnam

Sharon Lee Putnam of Caro, age 74, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper in Saginaw. Sharon was born February 1, 1946 in Waterford, the daughter of the late Frank & Margaret (Liestman) Barnes. She graduated from Waterford High School with the class of 1964 and worked for a brief time as a waitress. Sharon would later become a licensed beautician and also worked as a mobile home park manager. She was united marriage with Russell Putnam on March 20, 1969 in Pontiac and he survives. Sharon was a member of the Fairgrove VFW Post and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her life was centered around family and she was a mother to many. She will be remembered for her patience and compassion, even when she needed to be stern. In her spare time, Sharon enjoyed golf, bowling, playing Bingo, and cheering on the Detroit Tigers. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of fifty-one years, Russell Putnam, Sr. of Caro; four children and their spouses, Kimberly & Scott Ehrhardt of Chesaning, Connie & James Kurtansky of Clio, Deborah Putnam of Caro, Russell, Jr. & Rachel Putnam of Caro; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, three sisters, and their spouses, James & Bernie Barnes of White Lake, Betty & Susie Bowen of Lake Orion, Vicky Heard of Novi, Pat Barnes of Waterford; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Heaven Watson in 2012. Sharon's family will gather with friends to celebrate her life from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Cremation will follow the gathering.
