Sharon Lee Shivley

Sharon L. Shivley, 71, of Bay Port, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.

Sharon was born September 22, 1950 in Saginaw to the late Valarie Harder. She was adopted at birth by the late Carmielo and Caroline Cicalo. Upon Caroline’s death at an early age she was raised by Carmielo and his wife Verna. She graduated from Birch Run High School in 1968. On May 2, 1985 she married Rodney Shivley in Saginaw. She enjoyed taking care of her large family, cooking, and reading.

She is survived by her husband Rodney; sons Paul (Nichole) Shippey of Bay Port, Mike Shivley of Bay Port, Frank (Jackie) Shivley of Pigeon, John Shivley of Pigeon and Ben (Evan) Shivley of Bay Port; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and sisters Margie Haire, Wenona Foster and Laura Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her sons Jeff Shippey, Nicki Shivley, and Josh Hatlak, granddaughter Trinity Star Shivley and brothers Chuck Cicalo, Art Cicalo and Willy Harder.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, August 31st at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Heather Nowak officiating. Burial will be in New Bay Port Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00am Wednesday and continue until the time of the service.
