Sharron Lee Edler

Sharron L. Edler, age 74, of Sebewaing, passed away Monday afternoon, September 9, 2013 at her home. She was born August 30, 1939 to Walter R. and Dorothy M (Sieqwart) Martini. Sharron married Gerald Clarence Edler August 8, 1959 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2003.

Sharron enjoyed many different jobs throughout her life. She worked as a teller at Farmers & Merchants State Bank, office manager for Luke's Supermarket, a loan officer at First of America Bank, and a manager at Porky's Restaurant (now Peking City). She worked many years as the USA Schools Bus Coordinator and was a driver. She was also the Sebewaing Village Treasurer.

She had many different hobbies. She loved traveling with her special buddy, Nancy Layher. She liked attending school sporting events, camping, watching her grandkids in extra curricular activities, crocheting and playing computer games. She was a member of the Sebewaing Women's Club, OWLS, Red Hatters, participating with the Sebewaing playscape project, helping the Sebewaing Historical Society, and was a lifelong member at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Sharron is survived by her children: Randall C. (Saundra) Edler and Melissa M. (Mark) Halabis; her grandchildren: Randall Scott (Rebecca) Edler, Cassie Sue (special friend Moses Marrero) Edler, Abbey Jo Halabis and Brady Cooper Halabis; and many special friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Walter C. Martini.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 1-8pm.

The funeral service is Friday, September 13, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at Silverlawn Cemetery in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church-General Fund, Patriot Pride Club, Sebewaing Historical Society or Bay Shore Camp.
