Shawn Michael Babbitt

Shawn Michael Babbitt, 21, of Caseville, formerly of Cheboygan, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at Hurley Hospital in Flint of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Shawn was born February 9, 1996 to Todd Sr. and Dione (Stroshein) Babbitt in Cheboygan. He was a 2014 Cheboygan High School graduate. He worked at Mayfair Coop in North Dakota before moving to Caseville, locally he worked at Huron’s Finest. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and spending time with friend and family. He would do whatever he could to help his friends.

He is survived by his parents Todd Sr. and Dione of Caseville; sister Melissa (Josh Buckingham) of Nebraska and brother Todd Jr. of Caseville; grandmother Marjorie Babbitt of Caseville; nieces Aurora and Summer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Daniel Sr. and Evelyn Stroshein and James Babbitt.

A memorial service will be at Noon Friday, February 17th at the Caseville Eagles Club, 7017 E. Park Street, with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating. Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville is handling the arrangements.
