Sheldon Lee Steckley

Sheldon Lee Steckley, 71, formerly of Bay Port, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Brookhaven AFC in Columbiaville.

Sheldon was born April 22, 1951 in Pigeon to the late Edwin and Olivia (White) Steckley. He graduated from Laker High School in 1969. After school he moved to the South where he had a successful career as an auctioneer, his catchphrase was “drive on.” He was a people person, and made friends wherever he went. He loved reading the Bible and sharing his faith with others.

Sheldon is survived by his siblings Diane (Paul) Cleeves of Comins, Charlotte Masen of Goodrich, William (Brooke) of Pigeon, and Sherl (Criseida) of Bradenton, Florida; and nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in Pigeon River Mennonite Cemetery. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
