Sherri Harrington

Sherri “From Big Boy” Harrington, age 53, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Sherri was born June 25, 1956 in Cass City, the daughter of Richard & Cora Lou (Hutton) Downing. She was united in marriage to Brent Harrington on April 5, 2003 at the Caro First Baptist Church, and the couple cherished their seven years together. Sherri was a waitress at the Caro Big Boy for thirty-two years, retiring in March of this year due to her illness. She was a member of the Caro First Baptist Church and was a captain of the Big Boy Relay for Life Team. She will be best remembered as a woman that was always doing for others and forever giving of her time and talent. She was a hard worker, and would often laugh that she would crawl to work if she had to, because nothing was going to keep her from her customers at the restaurant. In her spare time, Sherri also enjoyed cooking and tending to her pool. Left to cherish Sherris memory are her husband, Brent Harrington of Caro; two children, Jared and Jade Stilson of Caro; parents, Richard & Cora Lou Downing; eight siblings and their spouses, Robert & Sue Downing of Caro, Ross & Linda Downing of Caro, Steven & Jean Downing of Fairgrove, Kelli Sue & Heath Jackson of Caro, Margie & Jerry McPhilips of Arizona, Shelli & Michael Colosky of Vassar, Jenifer & Gavin McLaughlin of Massachusetts, Cheryl & Pat Dillon of Cass City; father and mother-in-law, Glen & Ruth Harrington of Akron; and many nieces and nephews.
