Sherrie Lyn Avery

Sherrie Lyn Avery of Columbiaville, formerly of Caro, age 59, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Sherrie was born October 24, 1962 in Traverse City, the daughter of the late Robert Lewis and Joyce Leone (Frank) Brown, Sr. and was a graduate of Caro High School. Through her sister, Sherrie met the love of her life, Bryon Avery. They were united in marriage on November 19, 1982 and celebrated nearly forty years together. Sherrie loved to tend to her plants and spoil her three dogs, three cats, and two fish. Above all else, she loved to be with her family, especially her grandchildren, as they were the lights of her life. Sherrie's love and laughter will be missed by many. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Bryon; sons, Shawn (Shanon) Avery and Matthew Avery; grandchildren, Kaylee, Brooke, Jayden, and Joel; siblings, Monica Nugent and Robert Lewis (Marsha) Brown II; brother-in-law, Terry (Mary) Avery; sister-in-law, Lisa Avery; several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Sherrie was predeceased by her sister, Cindy Crawford; nephew, Ty Heritier; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norman and Trudy Avery. In keeping with Sherrie's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
