Sherry Lynn Hessell

Sherry Lynn Hessell (nee Ponn), age 43, of Ubly, died at home March 15, 2007 of apparently natural but unknown causes.

Sherry was born July 12, 1963 in Detroit and grew up there. She married Martin Hessell in February 1991. Martin died March 14, 2007. She moved to Huron County in 1992 with her family. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family.


Sherry is survived by her children Joseph Nietubicz, Angela Hessell and Martin Hessell II, all of Ubly; parents-in-law William and Margaret Hessell of Caseville; brother Tony (Jennifer) Proctor of Durand and uncle Ray Carrigan of Kalkaska.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Stephanie Nietubicz and her mother Carol Proctor (nee Carrigan).

A double funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville with Fr. Ken Yaroch presiding.

Visitation will be 1-8 PM Monday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and from 10:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be directed to the family.
