Sherry Lynn Louks

Sherry Lynn Louks of Mayville, age 65, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Covenant Health Care - Harrison, surrounded by family. She was born September 19, 1954 in Flint, the daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie (Gleason) Betz. Sherry was a member of the Caro Assembly of God Church and had been active for many years with Relay for Life. Prior to taking the position of full-time grandma, which she enjoyed the most, Sherry worked as an aide at Satchell's Adult Foster Care Home. Home and family were important to Sherry and she enjoyed camping, Christmas, and helping wherever she could. Left to cherish Sherry's memory are two sons, Todd Louks of Mayville and John Weiler of Kalkaska; three grandchildren, Denny, Lily and Aron; three brothers and their spouses, Ron & Lezlie Betz of Ellsworth, Larry & Karen Betz of Millington, and Thomas & Deb Betz of Frankenmuth; two sisters, Pat Miller and Connie Betz, both of Caro; daughter-in-law, Christa Louks of Millington; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; two sons, A.J. and Christopher Louks; one daughter, Tracy Dean; one granddaughter, Shawndie; one grandson, Austin; one brother, Robert Betz; and two sisters, Beatrice "Sue" Accord and Roberta Hayes. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Caro Assembly of God Church with Rev. David Dietzel officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery in Mayville.
