Shirley Allen

Shirley Allen of Deford, age 68, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at her home. Shirley was born May 28, 1952 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Edward & Maryann Androsuk. She grew up in the Detroit area and lived in California for over ten years. In 1985, Shirley and her children moved to her family homestead in Deford, where she resided ever since. She was a loving mother, grandmother, homemaker, and caretaker to her seven cats. In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed playing pool, gardening, knitting, crocheting, and watching the wildlife outside her window. She was also always up for trying to take her children's money in poker. Left to cherish Shirley's memory are four children and their spouses, Steven & Emily Androsuk of East Pointe, Chris & Michele Allen of Warren, Deseri Allen (Charles Fowler) of Roseville, Gerald Allen of Deford; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Dylan, Tori, Robyn, Jimmy, Megan, Dustin, and Hannah; three great-grandchildren, Madilyn, Arya, and Riley; five siblings; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by one sibling. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later time.
