Shirley B. Campbell

Shirley Bernice Campbell of Caro, age 82, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. She was born on November 11, 1930 in Caro, the daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Campbell) Jewel. Shirley was employed as a nurse at the Caro Regional Center until her retirement. Shirley is survived by three children, Kathleen Capling of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dewey William Campbell, Jr. of Monroe, North Carolina, and Melody Boulden of Fort Myers, Florida; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Root, Patricia Ardinger and Gloria Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers, Phyllis Jane Jewel, Billy Jewel, Marylou Baker, Joanne Mullin, Jean Curtis and Doug Jewel. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Caro Assembly of God Church in Caro with Pastor Arnold Burger officiating.
