Shirley Ann Dubs

Shirley Ann Dubs, 89, of Pigeon, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Shirley was born September 3, 1934 in Bay Port to the late Roy and Bernice (Quick) Lawrence.  She graduated from Bay Port High School in 1952.  On May 4, 1957 she married Jimmy B. Dubs at the Bay Port R.L.D.S. Church; he preceded her in death on March 22, 1996.

Shirley was a faithful lifetime member of the Community of Christ Church in Bay Port.

Shirley is survived by her sons Steve (Kathy) of Pigeon, Scott (Mary) of Pigeon and Larry (Deborah) of Reese; grandchildren Kristin (Josh) Sherman, Rebecca (Drew) Gokey, Jamie (Joe) Meyer, Matthew (Elisha) Dubs, Mary Kaye (Trever) Wichert, and step-grandchildren Jennifer (Jason) Sears, Adrienne (Marcus) Sting, Danielle (Josh) Woodruff, and Karleigh (Brent) Jimpkoski; great grandchildren Noah, Elijah, Adalynn, Massey, Teague, Brogan, Tyson, Colton, Forrest, and step great-grandchildren Riley, Kiera, Brielle, Easton, Emily, Madelyn, Jaidyn, Brentley and Raelynn; sister Janet (Ron) Heckman of Pigeon; brother-in-law Bob Ziel; and sisters-in-law Maybelle Deering and Ava Gies; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother Wayne Lawrence, sister Lucille Ziel and great-granddaughter Abigail Rae Gokey.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Thursday, April 25th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Elder Kathy Swartzendruber and High Priest Terry Brown officiating.  Burial will be in New Bay Port Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 11:00am Thursday and continue until the time of the service.
