Shirley A. Gaeth, age 79, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018. She was born July 23, 1938, in Gagetown, daughter of the late Harold and Thelma Weisenbach. She married Charles A. Gaeth on October 28, 1955 at New Salem Lutheran Church, Sebewaing.
Shirley was a faithful member of New Salem Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and worked at many Sugar Beet Dinners held at the church. She was known for always providing Hawaiian Punch drinks for vacation bible school. She loved being with her family and tried not to miss out on anything. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles; children, Raymond (Rita) Gaeth of Pennsylvania, Rita (Kenneth) Linzner of Unionville, Robin Gaeth of Sebewaing; three granddaughters, Megan Linzner of Bay City, Amanda Linzner of Sebewaing and Anna Linzner of Unionville; siblilngs, Donald (Karen) Weisenbach of Owendale, Betty Carter of Sebewaing, Richard Weisenbach of Sebewaing, Barbara (William) Sting of Saginaw, Dennis Weisenbach of Sebewaing, Harold (Margaret) Weisenbach of Sebewaing, Gary (special friend Carrie Dohn) of Caro; sister-in-law, Barbara Weisenbach of Sebewaing; special niece Brenda Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Thelma Weisenbach; siblings, Robert Weisenbach, Geraldine Koepf, David Weisenbach and Kathy Hodder and brothers-in-law, William Gaeth and Benny Carter; and nephew, John Weisenbach.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 26, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to New Salem Lutheran Church Ladies Aid or the Sebewaing Twp. Ambulance.
