Shirley Ann Hall

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of our mother, Shirley A. (Krzewski) Hall, age 89, of Bad Axe, Michigan, on February 25, 2025, at her residence in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Shirley was born in Detroit and moved to Kinde, Michigan in 1945 following the passing of her father, Valentine Krzewski.  Her mother, Viola Krzewski, raised Shirley and her 2 brothers, Leroy (Butch) and Richard (Dick), by herself until her stepfather, Edward Andreski, joined the family in 1947. Shirley graduated from North Huron High School in 1953 and later married James H. Hall on August 16, 1958. Together, they built a life centered on love, faith and family.

A devoted mother, Shirley also worked as a teller at First National Bank of Bad Axe and at the offices of James H Hall, C.P.A.  For many years, Shirley was a member and treasurer of theHuron Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the hospital gift shop. She had a generous heart seated in service.

Shirley was a parishioner of St. Hubert’s (formerly Sacred Heart Church) since moving to Bad Axe in 1967 when she and Jim built their new home on Buschlen Road for their expanding family. She lived by her trust in the Lord and instilled those values in her children, teaching them kindness, integrity and importance of family. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved every moment spent with them.  Her laughter, wit, warm smiles, window waves, heartfelt cards, strong hugs and cherished chats will be deeply missed.

Shirley is survived by her children, Tami (Jim) Howard, of Novi, MI; Trudi (Bill) Laurence, of McMurray, PA; and Gregory (Lisa) Hall, of Midland, MI; grandchildren, Erica (Sam) Schwein, Allison (Joe) Deneweth, Jordan (Kevin) Piwowar, Gregory Keefer, and Steven Laurence and great grandchildren, Jack and Luke Schwein, Sloan and Cassius Deneweth, and Violet Piwowar. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, James “Jim” H. Hall; her father, Valentine Krzewski; mother, Viola (Krzewski) Andreski; stepfather, Edward Andreski; brother, Leroy “Butch” Krzewski; brother, Richard Krzewski; sister-in-law, Shirley Krzewski; and sister-in-law, Karen Krzewski as well as many other extended family and friends.

A funeral mass will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bad Axe, with Fr. Yesu Mulakaleti presiding.  There will be an after-mass interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery columbarium immediately after the funeral mass with a luncheon to follow at Oswald Hall.
