Shirley J. Kraft

Shirley J. Kraft, age 82 of Caseville, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Scheurer Hospital long term care.
She was born in Caseville on June 15, 1930 to James and Elizabeth ( Langley ) Kelly, and was a 1948 Pigeon High School graduate. On October 29, 1949, she was united in marriage to Arliss H. Kraft in Caseville.
Shirley worked most of her life - for Dr. Miller, D.V.M., Active Industries in Elkton, and Michigan Directory Company for many years. She ended her career working alongside her husband in the business they owned, Bay Shore Realty, until his death in 2003. She loved finding people their perfect home.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church , Sand Point, and sang in the church choir. She became a member of the Pigeon Area Women's Club in 1969, serving in different board positions, including President, and became an Honored Member in 2007. Shirley also served as a member of the Caseville Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors.
She is survived by her children, Sheryl Barton and her husband, Stephen, of Sterling Heights, Debra Henne and her husband, Robert, of Bay Port, Tim Kraft and his wife, Beth, and Kevin Kraft, all of Roscommon; her grandchildren: Tiffany Gross, Tara (Brian) Manyen, Trevor (Pam) Gross, Tory (Ben) Moskal, Kim (Jim) Christie, and Kiel and Kaitlyn Henne; and great-grandchildren, Jakob, Brendan, Aubree and Sylvia.
The Funeral Service will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Sand Point, with Rev. Steven Stolarczyk, pastor, officiating. Friends may visit at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Caseville Township Cemetery .
