Shirley Ann Pawlak

Shirley Ann Pawlak, 81, of Owendale, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw.

Shirley was born July 18, 1942 at home in Chandler Twp to the late Matthew and Amy (Carson) Jaworski.  She was in the Laker High School Class of 1962.  She married Joseph Pawlak on August 17, 1963 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on January 29, 2012.  Upon getting married they lived on a farm in Grant Twp where she raised her family.

She was a member of Our Lady of Consolata Parish.  She enjoyed playing cards, reading, going to the casino, and watching Detroit sports teams.

Shirley is survived by her children Jeffrey (Susan) of Bad Axe, Michael of Shelby Twp and Tammy (Anthony) Wolschlager of Owendale; grandchildren Ashley, Michael, Jacob (Courtney) Andriana, and Brandon (Madison); great-grandchildren Jeremy, Carmen, and Callie; siblings John (Ruth) Jaworski, Jim (Helen) Jaworski, and Jean (John) Kata; sister-in-law Renda Jaworski.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Mary (Ed) Kiehl and Gerald Jaworski.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00am Thursday, March 7th at St. Agatha Catholic Church in Gagetown with Fr. Robert Pare presiding.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be 2-8 Wednesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon and one hour prior to the mass in church.
