Shirley Jean Sheyachich

Shirley Jean Sheyachich, age 60 died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Genesys Medical Center in Grand Blanc. Until her recent illness she was a resident of the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe since 2000.

Shirley was born September 5, 1948 in Detroit to the late Walter and Elsie (Wikenczy) Sheyachich. She moved from Warren to Huron County in 2000 to be near her family. She loved her job at Thumb Industries in Bad Axe. She was active in and out of the nursing home and everyone loved to see her happy smile. She enjoyed BINGO and playing Old Maid with her nieces and nephews, especially “Bob.”

She is survived by her brother Jerry and his wife Nancy of Linden and sister Mariane and her husband Frank Briesmeister of Caseville; nieces and nephews Bob, Jerilyn, Amy, Joe, Kathy and SanDee; many great-nieces and great-nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Walter and Elsie and nephew Tom.

A funeral mass will be at 12:00 Noon Tuesday at St. Roch Catholic Church, Caseville, with Fr. Kenneth Yaroch presiding. Burial will be with her parents at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Visitation will be from 10AM Tuesday until the time of the mass at church. Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the family, St. Roch Building Fund, or the Huron County Medical Care Facility.
