Sophie Burgess

Sophie T. Burgess, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 10, 2008 following a lingering illness. Sophie was born November 30, 1920 in Chelsea County, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Adam & Josephine (Pevich) Archacki. She was united in marriage to Lester Vern Burgess on December 26, 1944 in Massachusetts, and he preceded her in death in 1992. Sophie was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro and also enjoyed playing bingo. Left to cherish Sophies memory are three children and their spouses, Lester Vern Burgess, Jr. of Redford, Jo Marie & Larry Smith of Alpena, Arkansas, Auralie & David Nelson of Deford; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
