Sophie Rangus

Sophie Rangus, 97, of Caseville, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care.

Sophie was born May 22, 1916 in Calumet to the late Anton and Mary (Schuette) Rangus. She worked in the Detroit area for many years before moving to Caseville in 1986.

She is survived by her sister Agnes Paulson of Caseville and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister and seven brothers.

Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Calumet in the spring. Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Thumb Animal Shelter in her memory.
