Sophie Yonke, age 98 years, of the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, and formerly of the Caro Senior Commons, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2006, at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She was born on November 28, 1907, in Saginaw, the oldest of twelve children born to David and Rosina Wagner. Sophie came to rural Akron as a child when her family purchased a farm.
