Stanley Dudas of Warren, and formerly of Caro, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2005, at Henry Ford Bi-County Hospital in Warren at the age of 92. Mr. Dudas was born on March 25, 1913, in Buffalo, New York. He lived in Detroit and worked for Kelsey-Hayes before joining the United States Army in 1936. Before retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant from the Army in 1956, from Fort Riley, Kansas, he served in both the European and Pacific Campaigns of WWII and in Korea. He then married his wife, the former Anna J. Oleniacz, on December 23, 1957, before they moved to East Jordan and then Boyne City, where he was employed by Mt. Clemens Metal Products and Boyne Products (Essex Wire). He was a former member of Dearborn Fordson V.F.W. Post, East Jordan American Legion, Detroit Elks #34 and Caro V.F.W. Post #4164. He is survived by his sister, Mary, of Caro, and three sons: Gerald M. Olli of Warren, James H. Olli of Washington, MI, and Willis D. Olli of Tucson, AZ; as well as 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, on February 13, 1997. The funeral service will be held: AT: Collon Funeral Home in Caro ON: Monday, August 15, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. WITH: Pastor Rocky Spear, officiating Entombment will be: AT: Indianfields Township Cemetary, with military honors afforded by Caro V.F.W. Post #4164 Visitation will be: AT: Collon Funeral Home in Caro ON: Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. AND: Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
