Stella Curtis

Stella T. Curtis, age 85, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, following a lingering illness. She was born October 2, 1921 in Olathe, Colorado, the daughter of the late Alfred Jennie (Schecter) McCunniff. She was united in marriage to Abraham Lincoln Curtis in 1945 in Colorado, and moved to New York in 1955, and finally to the Caro area in 2003. Abraham preceded Stella in death on February 18, 2004. Stella was an active member of the Caro Church of the Nazarene Church, and enjoyed making handy crafts and being a foster grandmother at the Caro Schools. Stella is survived by two sons and their spouses, John Billie Curtis of Caro and Bill Debbie Curtis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jerry Curtis of Ypsilanti, Gene Nancy Curtis of Portland, Oregon, and Kevin Curtis of Howell; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Katherine Clifford Kastendieck of Montrose, Colorado, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
