Steve P. McIlhargie, age 58, of Mt. Morris formerly of Pinnebog died Monday afternoon, February 9, at his home follow a massive heart attack.
He was born April 25, 1950 in Bad Axe to the late Edward and Betty (Sternberg) McIlhargie.
Steve grew up in the Pinnebog/Gotts Corner area and graduated from North Huron High School in 1968. He started work in the construction field shortly after high school and was a heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local 324 , Detroit for the past 20 years.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and had a passion for golf and loved spending time with his nieces, nephews and all of his family.
Surviving are his wife, Jackie; four brothers, Eugene (Lisa) McIlhargie of Stockton, CA, Dave (Angie) McIlhargie of Caseville, Ed McIlhargie of Pigeon and Mark (Sherry) McIlhargie of Stockton, CA; four sister, Susan McIlhargeey of Whittemore, Sandy Gosselin of New Baltimore, Ann McIlhargie of Anchorage, AK and Margaret McIlhargie of Concord, CA.
Preceding him in death were his two sons, Todd and Adam and three brothers, George, Charlie and Jim.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM Saturday, February 14, at Hayes United Methodist Church, near Caseville with burial by his sons in Caseville Twp. Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 8 PM Friday at the church after 10 AM Saturday.
Memorials may be given to Hayes United Methodist Church, American Heart Assn. or American Cancer Society
