Steven Nicholas Kish, age 73, passed away October 3, 2008 at his home in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Steven was born March 27, 1935 in Denmark Township, the son of the late Stephen & Rose (Petho) Kish. He graduated from Fairgrove High School with the class of 1953 and worked at Universal Tool & Die in Frankenmuth and Hills Orchard in Caro. Steven was united in marriage with Sharol Ann Blasius, and the couple cherished their time together until her death on June 4, 1962. In 1981, Steven left his home in Caro and moved to Simpsonville, where he worked as a custodian at Bryson Middle School. His most precious time was that spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Steven also enjoyed fishing, target shooting and his Dodge truck. He was a great advocate for Alcoholics Anonymous, and believed strongly in its ability to turn lives around. Surviving are two sons, one step-son and their wives, Steven Michael & Loraine Kish of Sumter, South Carolina, Mark Wayne & Charlotte Kish of Caro, Michael Kish of Caro; one brother, Albert & Betsy Kish of Pigeon; two sisters, Mary Connell of Vassar, Julie & William Dillon of Caro; one sister-in-law, Shirley & Arnold Walker of Caro; seven grandchildren, Steven & Amanda J. Kish, Nicholas Kish, Jared & Jennifer Kish, Nehemiah Kish, Melies Kish, Amanda Kish, Caleb Kish; four great-grandchildren, Kaya, Emma, Riley and Jacob Kish. In addition to his wife, Steven was preceded in death by two daughters, Wendy Ellen Kish and Tina Marie Kish; one brother, Franklin Kish; and one sister, Helen Rock.
