Stuart Wayne Richards

Stuart Wayne Richards of Caro, age 77, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at his home. Stuart was born November 17, 1946 in Flint, the son of the late Wayne Richards. He was a 1965 graduate of Lapeer High School and went on to graduate from GMI. Stuart and Sherry (Kitchenmaster) were united in marriage on November 27, 2010 at Living Waters Chapel in Caro. He was employed at General Motors as an engineer for thirty-five years and Volkswagen for ten years. Stuart enjoyed classic cars, snowmobiling, boating, motocross, and tinkering in the garage. Stuart was always ready for a family get-together and was well known for his unforgettable smile.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sherry; five children and their spouses, Mark (Susie) Richards, Tammy (Bill) McCool, Al (Colleen) Janos, Matthew (Lenie) Janos, Stacy Janos; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; his mother, Sybil Richards; and one sister, Jamie Richards.

In keeping with Stuart’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Living Waters Chapel in Caro with Rev. James Brandt officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro at a later date. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church on Friday.
