Susan Dorchak

Susan Jane Dorchak, age 68, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw, following a lingering illness. Susan was born February 19, 1942 in Ohio, the daughter of the late Richard & Norma (Martin) Scott, and came to the Bridgeport, Michigan area with her parents as an infant. Following graduation from Frankenmuth High School in 1960 and one year at Michigan State University, she worked at Michigan Bell in Saginaw. Susan was united in marriage with William A. Dorchak on May 18, 1968 in Bridgeport. Susan and Bill came to Caro in 1975 when Bill purchased Caro Tire Company, where Susan worked with her husband as its business manager. Susan was a member of the Caro United Methodist Church. In her free time, Susan enjoyed reading, playing cards and going to plays. Surviving is her loving husband of nearly forty-three years, William A. Dorchak of Caro; two children, Karen and her husband, Jon Mahan, of Baltimore, Maryland, Brian Dorchak and Amy Ruckle of Royal Oak; two grandchildren, Conor and Reagan Mahan, both living at home; two sisters, Carol Wojcik of Evert, Michigan, Linda and her husband, Robert Gorman, of Overland Park, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.
