Susan C. Gunsell

Susan C. Gunsell, age 98, of Sebewaing, passed away December 30, 2024 at the Tuscola Medical Care Facility in Caro,

Susan was born in Sebewaing on September 29, 1926, to Christ and Louisa (Funk) Gayari. She graduated from Owendale High School. On November 8, 1947, she married Marvin Howard Gunsell, Sr. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1979. For many years, Susan cleaned for many local businesses and friends. Susan enjoyed going to church, walking and going for coffee. She like watching the Detroit Tigers, Nascar and The World of Outlaws (sprint races). Susan quoted years ago to the funeral home "I love my family dearly, especially my grandkids and great grandkids."

Susan is survived by her two children: Jeanie (Dave) Beach and Marvin (Renee) Gunsell, Jr.; grandchildren: Jennifer (Lee) Gainforth), Mike (Heather) Beach, Ashley (Marcus) Deering and Zachary Gunsell; great grandchildren: Claire Gainforth, Zachary Beach, Agatha Rae Deering and Darton Ace Deering; sister-in-law, Teresa Gayari; and many nieces and nephews.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings: Chris (Helen) Gayari, Jake Gayari, Martin (Josephine) Gayari, Pete Gayari, Dorothy (Carl) Uhl, Mary (Elmer) Schumacher and Elizabeth (Albert) Naffin.

The visitation and funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Inc., in Sebewaing, from 11am-3pm, with the service at 3pm. Pastor Brad Haist will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility or to the family to disperse to local charities.
