Susan Elizabeth Taylor

Susan E. Taylor, 62, of Sand Point, formerly of Linden, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at her home while under hospice care.

Susan was born April 5, 1948 in Port Huron to the late Robert and Catherine (Martin) Nicholls. In 1955 her family moved to Lobdell Lake near Linden, and she lived there for the next 40 years. Growing up on the water, she began a life-long love of fishing. So when she moved to Sand Point in 1995, she loved it as it is a fisherman’s paradise. She was an active member of the Caseville Eagles Auxiliary and enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years Bruce; sons Richard Smith of Arkansas, Wayne (Andrea) Smith of Grand Blanc and Robert (Sara) Smith of Davison; grandchildren Shawn, Kyla, Teagan, Spencer, Benjamin and Robert; sister Judy (Ron) Humitz of Linden and brother James (Tonna) Nicholls of Linden.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael Haley.

Memorial service 1:00 pm Saturday, October 16th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville. Urn burial will be in Argentine Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until the time of the service on Saturday.
