Susanne Plain

Susanne Marie Plain, age 52 years, of Pigeon, formerly of Tuscola County, passed away at a friends home in Dayton Township while under the care of Heartland Hospice. She was born on August 15, 1956 in Flint to Richard Gillespie and the late Margaret Ann (Tallman) Gillespie. Madge was a Mayville resident for a number of years and graduated from high school there. She had also lived in North Branch, Akron and Caseville. She was employed for the majority of her working life in automotive outsourcing and for a longtime at Ralstons in Caro. Madge bowled for years and was an avid pool player. She also enjoyed the fun and challenge of scratch off lottery tickets. She is survived by her children, Tonya Plain of Caro and Justin Plain of Pigeon; one grandchild, Bryce; her father, Richard (Midge) Gillespie of Thompsonville; her siblings, James Gillespie of Mayville, Timothy Gillespie of Caro, Angie Gillespie of Florida; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and best buds. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Ann Gillespie. The memorial service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Chris Taylor facilitating. Keeping with Susannes wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will be at Fremont Township Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Susanne Plain discretionary fund at Northstar Bank.
