Suzanna Janssens

Suzanna Janssens, age 96 of Pigeon died Sunday morning, June 18, at Courtney Manor, Bad Axe.

She was born June 12, 1910 in Belgium to the late Sarafien and Marie (Meessen) Baert.
On April 10, 1927, she was united in marriage to Theophiel J. Janssens in Belgium, they move to the United States in 1930 settling in Detroit for a short time. They then went to Napoleon, Ohio for ten years before returning to the Detroit area. Mr. Janssens preceded her in death March 15, 1961. She moved to Shelby Twp. living there 20 years, before coming to Pigeon in 1994 to be nearer her son.

Surviving are her son, Walter (Fran) Janssens of Sand Point; her daughter, Lorraine (Dwight) Kleinlein of Washington Twp.; six grandchildren, Linda, Debra, Susan, Diane, Mark and Kristi; eight great-grandchildren, Stephen, Jeffrey, Erin, Kevin, Kari, Lucas, Caleb and Owen and three great-great-grandchildren, Destiny, Gabe and Cameron.

A funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 21, at St. Roch Catholic Church, Caseville with burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.

Memorials may be directed to St. Roch. Friends may call at the Church from 9 AM until the time of services Wednesday.
