Suzanne Marie Rico

Suzanne Marie Rico of Caro, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Hills & Dales General Hospital in Cass City. Suzanne was born July 3, 1947 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Albert and Betty Lou (Aker) Butzin. Suzanne had devoted much of her life to raising her four children. She had worked in service and direct care to others, and later worked in retail after her children were grown. Suzanne was a very loving and nurturing grandmother. She had a strong interest in her family and was continually active in helping the disenfranchised. She was a devout Christian who believed in God, forgiveness, and in second chances. She had recently become a great-grandmother for the third time. During her childhood years, Suzanne had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with her beloved grandparents, the late Cyril and Gwen Aker. The Aker's were loving, caring people who made a tremendous difference in her life. She often spoke fondly of them and shared some of the special memories she had with them. Surviving to cherish her memory are three daughters, Michelle Rico, Angela (Dennis) Syacsure, and Renee Rico; one son, Miguel (Kelly) Rico; four grandchildren, Kaylee Anderson, Zachary (Artricia) Syacsure, Kaleb Syacsure, and Sara Qrinawi; and three great-grandchildren, Madelyn Syacsure, Eliana Raymond, and Bridger Syacsure. Suzanne will be laid to rest next to her beloved grandparents, Cyril & Gwen Aker, in Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, February 19, 2022. A private family gathering will be held graveside to honor her.
