Sylvia Maria Mclellan

Sylvia Maria McLellan of Caro, age 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 16, 2018 at McLaren - Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant. Sylvia was born September 11, 1934 in Rociada, New Mexico, the daughter of the late Fernando & Encarnacion (Romero) Martinez. She was united in marriage with Theron McLellan on June 13, 1955, and he survives. Sylvia enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, painting, arts and crafts, and spending time with family and friends. It also has to be mentioned her love of playing cards with Theron, and even greater love of beating him. She will be missed for her laughter, hugs, kisses, smiles, gentle touch, great sense of humor, exceptional cooking. Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Theron McLellan; three sons, four daughters, and their spouses, Carl & Kim McLellan of Pinconning, Gary & Mary McLellan of West Olive, Marty McLellan of Caro, Debra McLellan of Washington, Linda & Keith Park of Oregon, Dorothy & Randy Hunt of Millington, Lisa McLellan of Caro; daughter-in-law, Lori McLellan of Grand Rapids; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and one brother, Margarito Martinez of Colorado Springs, Colorado. In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by two sons, Ruben and Roger McLellan; five brothers, Victor, Henry, Richard, Eugene and Freddie; and four sisters, Nancy, Mary, Jessie and Marie. In keeping with Sylvia's wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services have been held.
