Oeschger- Mrs. Sylvia Lois Kundinger Oeschger, age 80, of Sebewaing went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 13, 2011. She was born November 3, 1930, the daughter of Fred and Olga Kundinger. She loved serving her Lord through various ministries: opening her home to various loved ones from the community, attending Bay Shore Camp functions, and Sebewaing Community Fellowship. Her talents were many: composing songs, playing the piano, trying different recipes, sewing quilts and needlework. She enjoyed gardening and watching the birds in her yard.
She is survived by her husband, Willet Oeschger; her children: Dean (Joni) Easlick (Bakersfield, CA); Kristin (Ted) Skantze (Pine Ridge, SD); Stephanie (Steve)Thompson (Rochester Hills, MI); Kent (Jennifer) Easlick (West Branch, MI); John (Mandy) Oeschger (Jerusalem, Israel); Amy (Paul) Skentzos (Ada, MI);and Heidi (Rich) Lochbeiler (Macomb Twp, MI); Grandchildren and great grandchildren: Juliet Easlick (Rob) Carrington and Naomi Jewell Carrington; Amanda (John) Hodge and Kailyn and Jaxon; Jason (Brandy) Skantze; Kristin, Rachel, Sarah, Zachary, and Ian Thompson; Kara, Nichole, and Danielle Easlick; Tobias, Nathanial, Asher, Emmanuel, Yocheved Oeschger; Arianna Skentzos; and Peter, Emma, and Joshua Lochbeiler; sister, June Kundinger (Jim) Churchman, brother, Brian (Jan) Kundinger, and sister-in-law, Marion Kundinger Chambers. Sylvia's surviving special close friends are Vi Michelson and son, Todd, Pam Wilkerson, Leah Marshall, and Annette Johnson.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Kendall Easlick; parents, Olga and Fred Kundinger and brother, Wayne Kundinger.
The family would like to thank the Heartland Hospice staff and Sylvia's caregivers: Kim, Paige, and Vicki for their wonderful care and kindness, along with the choral group from Bay Shore Camp.
The service for Sylvia will be on Tuesday, October 18 at 11 am at the Bay Shore Camp Family Center with Pastor Brian Kundinger and close friend, Lew Tibbets officiating.
Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home, Sebewaing, on Monday, October 17 from 2-9pm.
