Sylvia Kathleen Wisner, 81, of Lake Twp, died Monday, September 7, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region Medical Center in Bay City.
Sylvia was born July 25, 1934 in Detroit to the late Hugh Cecil and Evelyn (Vollans) Edgar. She met her future husband Daniel Wisner, near Oak Beach in the mid-1950's where both of their parents had cottages. They married April 25, 1959 in Detroit, before moving back to Lake Twp in 1983 after retiring. In their retirement they loved to camp and traveled to all fifty states, all the Canadian provinces except the Northwest Territory and visited 35 countries and 26 world capitals. She was a very active member of the Caseville United Methodist Church, as a Sunday school teacher, Cheeseburger Coordinator and president of the United Methodist Women. Previously she had been active as a Girl Scout Leader and with the Caseville Library Club. At home she loved her cats.
She is survived by her nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel on April 4, 2011.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 Thursday, September 10th at the Caseville United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Caseville Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-6pm Wednesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville. She will lie in-state from 10:00am Thursday until the time of the service at church. Memorials may be made to the Caseville United Methodist Church.
