Tamara Sue Cook

Tamara Sue Cook, age 62, of Sebewaing, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Tamara was born February 6, 1959, in Lansing, to Loren and Velora (McCarn) Cole. She graduated in 1977 from Perry High School in Perry, Michigan. She married Wayne Cook on August 27, 1977 at Salem Lutheran Church in Owosso. Tamara was a member of New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing and enjoyed being in the Ladies Aid, the church choir, the janitor for many years and cooking dishes for funeral luncheons. Her greatest gift was being a mother and grandmother. Tamara also enjoyed reading, crocheting and taking car rides.

Tamara is survived by her husband, Wayne; her 6 children: Stephen (Cari) Cook of Garden City, Adam (Laura) Cook of Grand Rapids, Kevin (Rachel) Cook of Saginaw, Jason (Tia) Cook of Portage, Kendall (Laura) Cook of Crete, IL, and Annette (Ethan) Lord of Essexville; 7 grandchildren: Faith, Natalie, Michael, Phoebe, Logan, Tristan and Sawyer; siblings: Llewellyn Cole, Bruce (Linda) Cole, Terry Cole and Cindy (Todd) Hewson; and many nieces and nephews.

Tamara is preceded in death by her parents.

The visitation and funeral service will be Thursday, April 8, 2021 at New Salem Lutheran Church (222 E. Grove St., Sebewaing, MI 48759) from 10am until the time of service at 12noon.

Memorial donations may be given to New Salem Lutheran Church or to the family (c/o Wayne Cook).
