Tammi J. Hutton

Tammi J. Hutton of Caro, age 62, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab Center in Mayville. Tammi was born December 21, 1960 in Caro, the daughter of Peggy J. (Scott) Hutton and the late E. J. Hutton. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Caro High School with the Class of 1979. Following graduation, she attended St. Clair County Community College to become a licensed practical nurse, a career that she loved for the remainder of her life. Tammi served as a traveling nurse before beginning employment at St. Luke’s Hospital in Saginaw and later at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab Center in Mayville. Her final position in nursing was with Hills & Dales Hospital in Cass City, retiring last year following over twenty years of service. She found a new passion in retirement, and a job, at Club24 Mini Golf in Caro. Tammi’s free time was spent playing Bingo, making diamond art, and playing with her beloved little dog, Emma. Her life centered around helping others and she was available at a moment’s notice. Tammi gave generously of her time and held a special place in her heart for those with special needs.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ethin Hutton; mother, Peggy Hutton; sister, Kerri Britton, special friends, Brenda Brookhouse and Bob Shubitowski, all of Caro; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In keeping with Tammi’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Carmen Berlin officiating. Tammi’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation or Cass River Pet Friendz.
