Tammie Sue Pillsbury, age 54, passed away peacefully on her birthday October 7, 2016, after a long battle with cancer, at her home with her family by her side.
Tammie was born October 7, 1962, in Pigeon, the daughter of Donnie (deceased) and Rosella (Faber) Naffien. She married Robert E. Pillsbury on June 23, 1981. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse through St. Clair County Community College (Bad Axe Campus). She loved working in long term care and met many guardian angels. She loved to crochet, knit, plastic canvas, collect angels and read books. She adored her grandchildren and loved everyone with her whole heart.
Tammie is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters: Crystal (Joel) Dressler, Amanda (James) Heckroth, and Amber Pillsbury; grandchildren: Grayson and Wyatt Heckroth; mother, Rose Naffien; 3 sisters: Cindy (Dean) Valentine, Julie (Darrin) Marker, and Beth Naffien; brother, Eric (Fawn) Naffien; stepdad, Duane Naffien; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Tammie is preceded in death by her father, Don Naffien and mother-in-law, Ann Forro.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 2-8pm.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
Memorial donations may be given to the family.
