Ted TerBush, age 88, passed away Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Ted was born April 5, 1919 in Caro, the son of the late Floyd & Elizabeth (Kreger) TerBush, and was a lifelong area resident. Ted enlisted in the Michigan National Guard in April of 1941 and served with the Military Police in the 32nd Division. In the spring of 1944, he transferred to the 101st Division, 501st Parachute Regiment before he was honorably discharged in January of 1946. Ted was united in marriage to the former Maxine E. Kroll on June 18, 1949 in Caro. He was employed with various contractors as a bricklayer, retiring as a Foreman with Spence Brothers in Saginaw in 1982. Ted was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Caro and also attended Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Caseville. He was a member of the Caro V.F.W. Post #4164, the Caro American Legion Post #7 and the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local #9 - Michigan. Ted enjoyed being at his cottage in Caseville, fishing, hunting, and was an avid Detroit and University of Michigan sports fan. For many years, he helped with and coached Little League teams in Caro. Ted is survived by his wife and best friend of fifty-eight years, Maxine TerBush of Caro; one daughter, one son and their spouses, Pattie Ann & Don Gaudett of Vassar, Robert & Mary TerBush of Caro; four grandchildren, Shawn & Kyle Jones of Waterford, Christopher Gaudett of Vassar, Megan and Paige TerBush both of Caro; five siblings and their spouses, Frank & Marjorie TerBush of Caro, Maria Randall of Kingston, Hazel TerBush of Flint, Willard & Gloria TerBush of Caro, Lee & Joanna TerBush of Alexandria, VA; two sisters-in-law, Sally TerBush of Lansing and Ethel Tweedie of Livonia, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, Violet Buck, Vera Steele, Norma Asperger, Arthur TerBush and Wayne TerBush.
