Terry Lee Maurer

Terry Lee Maurer, 55, of Elkton, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit of complications from Covid.

Terry was born July 29, 1965 in Pigeon to the late Donald Lee and Lila Ann (Roberts) Maurer. He graduated from Laker High School in 1984. On June 4, 1988 he married Nicole Kern at Bad Axe Free Methodist Church.

He has worked at Tower Automotive in Elkton for 37 years as a production worker. His nickname was Smiley, known for his sense of humor and cracking a joke. He enjoyed the outdoors, mowing grass, 80's music and spending time with family. Terry never missed a sporting event for his children and was their #1 fan.

Terry is survived by his wife Nicole; children Brett (Julie) of Clarkston, Cody of Elkton and Amber (Peter Schuette) of Elkton; grandchildren Bennett, Emily and Gavin; sister Lisa of Auburn Hills; and brothers Vincent (Pam) of Pigeon and Wayne (Meliza) of Elkton.

Funeral services will be 7:00pm Thursday, May 27th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon. Visitation will be 1-7pm Thursday.
