Terry Lee Wilson

Terry Lee Wilson of Bay City and Caro, age 57, passed from our hands to God's on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at his home. Terry was born May 13, 1963 in Saginaw, the son of Dorothea G. (Schwab) Wilson and the late James A. Wilson. He grew up in Caro and graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1982. That same year, he was united in marriage with the former Mandy Parrish, and the couple has cherished thirty-eight loving years together. Terry farmed for a brief time before becoming a machinist and welder for General Motors for the following thirty years, retiring due to disability. He was most at peace outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Even when he wasn't enjoying these favorite pastimes, he could still be found talking about them, full of the exaggeration and embellishment he loved. Terry lived an all-or-nothing lifestyle and was almost always the life of the party. His world revolved around family to whom he was fiercely loyal and adored by all. Terry is survived by his wife, Mandy Wilson of Bay City; two sons, Brant Wilson and his wife, Brooke, of Cass City, Jeffery Wilson of Bay City; five grandchildren, Grace Marie Brady, Jadyn Rose Wilson, Callan Wilson, Everett Wilson, Alexander Sloan; his mother, Dorothea G. Wilson of Caro; mother- and father-in-law, Cliff & Mary Ann Parrish of Fairgrove; siblings and their spouses, Vicky & Kevin Phelps of Lexington, Kentucky, Yvonne Wagner of Canton, Keith & Terri Wilson of Caro, Mark Wilson of Traverse City, Michael Wilson of Essexville, Luke Wilson of Caro; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Michael Wilson; and one brother, James A. "Jamie" Wilson. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Terry's many caregivers through the years, including Angela Brocato and her tremendous team from the Lighthouse Rehabilitation Center in Caro. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Colwood Church in Caro with Rev. Jon Herron officiating. Burial will follow later in the day at Almer Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Colwood Church.
